Choosing Humidity Ranges for Test Chambers

When we choose the equipment we need, in addition to looking at the quality and functions of the product, we also need to pay attention to which one is most suitable for us.

We have some things to note when choosing the humidity range of the constant temperature and humidity test chamber:

1. Generally speaking, ordinary constant temperature and humidity test chambers below 2m can meet the requirements of area A. The dehumidification method in area A is water pan dehumidification. Some manufacturers use evaporator dehumidification, and the humidification method is hot steam humidification (water pan humidification). /boiler humidification), the humidity sensor can use the wet and dry bulb method;

2. For the walk-in constant temperature and humidity test chamber assembled with warehouse boards, when the dew point temperature is ≥67°C (70°C 90%R.H), the warehouse body must be fully welded, and the initial investment cost will be high, so you can choose the product without special requirements. The dew point temperature is <67°C to reduce costs. For large walk-ins where it is inconvenient to replace gauze, it is recommended to use capacitive sensors;

3. The dew point temperature in area B is about 0°C, and an evaporator must be used for dehumidification. The evaporator is easy to frost, so it is not recommended to stay in this area for a long time. The wet bulb sensor that meets this area must use a capacitive sensor;

4. The dew point temperature in area C is lower, and dry air must be used for dehumidification. The lowest dew point temperature of dry air can reach -70°C, and the wet bulb sensor must use a capacitive sensor;

5. Deionized water or purified water must be used for humidification;

6. The wet ball gauze used for the dry and wet ball sensors must be replaced regularly;

7. The walk-in constant temperature and humidity test chamber consumes a lot of water, so it is recommended to choose automatic water replenishment; because the three comprehensive test chambers are inconvenient to add water, it is recommended to choose automatic water replenishment;
