Rubber Hardness Tester Periodic Verification
The purpose of the International Rubber Hardness Tester periodic verification is to ensure that the hardness tester maintains good accuracy and stability between two calibrations. The purpose is to promptly detect possible deviations in the hardness tester so that appropriate measures can be taken to correct them and ensure the reliability of the test results.
The following are the recommended steps for periodic verification of the rubber hardness tester:
Depending on the frequency and importance of the use of the hardness tester, it is recommended to conduct a periodic verification every 6 months to 1 year.
Select the verification standard: Select a standard test block or standard material with a known hardness value as the verification standard. The hardness value of the verification standard should match the range of the hardness tester.
Perform the verification: Follow the operating instructions of the hardness tester and use the verification standard to perform the hardness test. Record the test results and compare them with the known hardness value of the verification standard.
Calculate the deviation: Calculate the deviation between the test results and the known hardness value of the verification standard. If the deviation exceeds the predetermined allowable range, it means that the hardness tester may have an error.
Take corrective measures: If the hardness tester has a deviation, appropriate corrective measures need to be taken, such as recalibration, adjustment or repair. After the corrective measures are implemented, the periodic verification should be performed again to confirm that the hardness tester has returned to normal.
Records and reports: Record the results of the interim verification in the relevant record form and report to the relevant person in charge as needed.
By conducting an interim verification of the international rubber hardness tester, it can be ensured that the hardness tester maintains good accuracy and stability between two calibrations, thereby improving the reliability of the test results.
