Vibration Fatigue Fracture

When a part is in operation, it often undergoes back-and-forth reciprocating motion around its equilibrium position, which is mechanical vibration.

Mechanical vibration is often harmful, as it can significantly reduce the performance and service life of machine parts. Fractures caused by mechanical vibration are referred to as vibration fatigue fractures.

When the frequency of an external excitation force approaches the natural frequency of the system, the system will experience strong resonance. Resonance fatigue fracture is the main form of vibration fatigue fracture in mechanical equipment.
