The iqualitrol iCut-856 is a large, upright metallographic cutting machine designed in accordance with safety and environmental protection principles.

 

iCut-856 is primarily used for cutting specimens of various metals, rocks, ceramics, and other non-metallic materials to meet the sample preparation requirements for metallographic and petrographic microstructural analysis.

 

The machine comprises cutting, cooling, illumination, and cleaning systems, and features stable operation, low noise, simple handling, and high safety and reliability, making it an essential piece of equipment for preparing solid-material specimens in laboratories.

 

The highlights of iCut-856 includes a comprehensive safety protection system featuring a gantry-style safety switch and an explosion-proof guard, as well as a highly efficient cooling and chip-removal system equipped with a magnetic separator and a dedicated cutting fluid.

 

These features effectively address cutting-related safety risks and waste-management challenges.

Main Structure:

iCut-856 comprises a cutting system, a cooling system, an illumination system, a cleaning system, and other components.

 

The upper part of the equipment is fully enclosed by a hinged protective guard, with an extra-large observation window on the front that, combined with a high-brightness lighting system, enables the operator to monitor the cutting process at all times.

 

A scientifically designed manual cutting lever on the right side makes it exceptionally easy and convenient to cut large workpieces. The grooved cast-iron worktable, paired with a vise, can handle the cutting of various irregularly shaped workpieces.

 

An ultra-powerful cooling system ensures that the workpiece does not overheat or burn during cutting; the coolant reservoir is housed within the machine base and is equipped with a filter screen to facilitate the collection of chips and debris. A gantry-style safety switch and an explosion-proof guard further ensure the safety of operators.
