Scratch Resistance Tester of Metal Surface Coatings PS-2690
Brief Introduction:
Used to test the scratch resistance of metal surface coatings, such as coil paint, tin can ink, metallic paint, automotive surface coating, etc.
It is also suitable for evaluating the surface scratch resistance of single coating or composite coating of color-coated plates.
The scratch resistance of the coating is evaluated by the maximum load of a spherical steel needle that scratches or does not scratch the coating under a certain weight.
During the test, a hemispherical stylus with a diameter of 1mm is used to slowly contact the surface to be tested and scratch a scratch about 10cm long.
Depending on the purpose of the test and the load applied, different degrees of penetration can be observed, from surface marks to complete penetration.
The motor drives the sample to gently contact the stylus, and the stylus passes over the sample and stops automatically when it reaches the end point. The contact between the stylus and the metal substrate is identified by a voltmeter. When the coating of the sample to be tested is scratched, the ammeter shows that current is passing.
